A Bizarre and Cautionary Tale…

HARRIS COUNTY, TX– On May 31, deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the Vanderbilt Apartments located in the 13500 block of Kuykendahl Road in reference to a burglary of a habitation. Upon deputies arriving the complainant stated that over $11,000 worth of jewelry and clothes were stolen from his residence.

During the course of the investigation, the complainant provided deputies a fictitious driver license. After a thorough investigation, he was positively identified as Brandon Garland, who stated he purchased the fictitious driver license online.

“Brandon Garland was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Tampering with a Government Record. His bond was set at $2,500 out of the 339th District Court,” Constable Mark Herman said.
