A Costly Super Bowl Sunday for 11 People

…and NOT because they bet on the wrong team!

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- Over Super Bowl Weekend, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office provided a strong proactive Law Enforcement presence to reduce the number of DWI-related offenses and crashes within the Precinct 4 boundaries.

Deputies arrested 11 suspected drunk drivers throughout Precinct 4. The drivers were each stopped for traffic violations and displayed several signs of intoxication. Deputies administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to each suspect, and determined they were driving while intoxicated.

Additionally, Arturo Madrid Campos and Melissa Perkins were charged with felony DWI Third or More, because they had two prior DWI convictions. Preston Krienke and Robert Stanton allegedly caused vehicle crashes. Benjamin Godoy was already free on bond for another DWI arrest that hasn’t been adjudicated. Kenneth Powers and Sara Chinchilla’s blood alcohol content was over twice the legal limit of .08.

All suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and the additional listed charges.

“Drinking and driving is not tolerated in Precinct 4. If you choose to drive drunk, you choose to go to jail,” Constable Mark Herman said.
