Saturday afternoon Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables learned the whereabouts of a wanted fugitive, Brice Ryan Karalis, 22, of 114 N. River Oaks in Shepherd. He had open warrants for burglary of a habitation with intended other felony. During the investigation, and after several hours of surveillance, PCT. 4 and Humble PD drones observed Karalis [identified by chest tattoos from prior booking photos] attempting to escape a residence off Laurette Drive, by hiding in a vehicle driven by two accomplices attempting to assist in his escape from capture. As the vehicle left the residence, PCT. 4 Deputies swiftly located the vehicle on Sorters Road, and conducted a high risk felony stop which resulted in Karalis being taken into custody, as well as his mother Kellie Karalis, 48 of 1250-1 Anmar Drive in Cleveland. She was charged with hindering her son’s apprehension. Also arrested was Chase Wayne May, 29, of 20399 Melba Street in New Caney. He was also arrested for hindering the apprehension of his brother Brice. Brice has a long history in Montgomery County. In 2018 as a juvenile Karalis and another juvenile Bryan Ernando Villanueva were sentenced to a Texas Department of Criminal Justice Juvenile Center in Giddings, Texas. In April of 2018, both escaped from the juvenile center. Within a day both were captured in Montgomery County and returned. Since then he was arrested in Montgomery County in 2019 for theft from a person, in 2020 for theft, in 2021 for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and theft of property. That property was a 2017 Can Am Side by Side which was stolen from Creekside RV Park. Precinct 4 Deputies recovered it on Royal Coach Drive in New Caney and arrested Karalis and Mason Young. Then in August of 2022, he was again arrested for auto theft and evading arrest. On that charge, Judge Grant sentenced him to 2-years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on October 22, 2022. He was released just 2 months ago.
