Police are investigating what appears to be an accidental shooting at 1200 Wilson approximately 9p.m. Sunday night. Officers learned that the shooter was apparently showing his .45 caliber lever action rifle to his girlfriend when the weapon discharged. The bullet struck and penetrated the floor of the apartment and entered the bedroom of the apartment below. The bullet struck the occupant of the apartment below causing a serious but non-life threatening injury. The victim was transported by ambulance to Hermann Hospital Woodlands for treatment. No charges were filed, however, the investigation is ongoing.
