HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Sunday, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a welfare check on a driver who was allegedly asleep at the wheel at a redlight in the19800 block of Atascocita Road. Deputies say the driver, 26-year-old Lanetra Woods, displayed multiple signs of intoxication and failed a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
However, the most appalling aspect of this situation was Woods having two children in the vehicle who are younger than three years old! The grandmother of the two children arrived at the location of the arrest, and Deputies released the two children to her.
“Lanetra Woods was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated with child passenger. Her bond was set at $1,000 out of the 339th District Court,” Constable Mark Herman said.
