HARRIS COUNTY TX— A woman was arrested on Nov. 27 after deputies say she was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 2700 block of Treaschwig Road.
According to Constable Mark Herman’s Office, deputies approached the vehicle and identified the driver as 58-year-old Donna Penland, who allegedly showed multiple signs of intoxication. After administering Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, deputies determined she was intoxicated.
Authorities said Penland later registered a 0.164 blood alcohol concentration, more than twice the legal limit in Texas.
Penland was booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $100 by County Court 16, Constable Herman said.
