Accused of Driving Through Crash Scene, Striking First Responder, Not Stopping

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Saturday, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a major accident in the 16200 block of Stuebner Airline Drive. While on scene, a driver later identified as Kendrick Preston, became impatient with the road closure and disregarded the Deputies on scene.

Preston allegedly drove through the crash scene, struck a first responder, and kept going! Deputies gave chase and detained him.

“Kendrick Preston was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Deadly Conduct. His bond was set at $100 out of County Court 6,” Constable Mark Herman said.
