MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- On Sunday, Deputies with Pct. 5 Chris Jones’s Office responded to a wrong way driver reported on FM 1488. Deputies rushed to try and prevent a major accident on the busy roadway. Before Deputies could find the vehicle, the driver crashed at 5300 FM 1488. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved.
Deputies made contact with the driver, 25-year-old Jacob Alan Bumgarner of Porter, and say he showed signs of intoxication. They placed Bumgarner in custody and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe for booking.
Jacob Alan Bumgarner of Porter is charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $1,000.
