Just before 12:30p.m. Sunday afternoon firefighters were dispatched to a report of a mobile home on fire on Druid at PineVillage in the Pine Village Subdivision off FM1314.
Caney Creek Firefighters arrived on the scene within minutes and were met with a singlewide mobile home totally involved. With no water supply close by assistance from River Plantation and Needham Fire Departments were requested. The blaze was brought under control a short time later.
The home was vacant at the time of the fire and the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
