On July 18, 2017, at 10:25 pm, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Taco Cabana in reference to a Robbery in Progress.
While en route to the call, Deputies learned that two very brave citizens, Michael Severini and Cara Lennon were in the drive-thru of the restaurant when they became suspicious that no one greeted them at the drive thru order line. Knowing that the restaurant is open 24/7, they drove around to the front of the store and observed a male wearing a hoodie and holding a handgun pushing Taco Cabana employees toward the back of the store. Michael and Cara then decided to take action and drove around the store, where they parked and called 911 to report the robbery. Michael and Cara through their brave and unselfish actions, witnessed the robbery suspects exit the store and get into a red passenger car. Michael and Cara continued to take action and followed the suspect vehicle relaying valuable and timely information to responding law enforcement.
Thanks to Michael and Cara’s brave and heroic actions, law enforcement was able to locate the vehicle and arrest the occupants for the aggravated robbery.
