ALERT DEPUTY’S APPREHEND PLANO MURDER SUSPECT

Close to 11 p.m. Wednesday night Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Dispatcher alerted units in the field of a description of a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder,with Texas licence number 110PXY and suspect name of Barincer Singh wanted in a a Plano, Texas murder. She advised the vehicle could be possibly heading to Houston.
Deputy Lynise Nichols and Corporal Kenton Ford calculated how long a drive would take to get to Montgomery County from Plano. They then monitored southbound traffic on IH-45 near Lake Front Circle.
At approximately 2:30a.m. their calculations paid off. Using other patrol personnel they initiated a traffic stop at Rayford and after verifying the name it was determined he was the wanted suspect.
He was arrested and placed in the Montgomery County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
According to Rick McDonald of the Plano police the incident happened at about 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night where police were called to Singh’s home for a report of gunfire.
When they arrived on the scene they found 36 year old Minai Bhagat shot and her body in the doorway.
They also found two children inside the home, a 4-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl. along with their grandmother. All apparently witnessed the shooting.
The children have been placed in foster care.
Police said a massive search took place both in the air and on the ground, but no suspects were located.
According to Plano police detectives were enroute to Montgomery County to talk to the suspect, 47-year-old Barinder Singh, the husband of the victim and the father of the children. They said they don’t plan to transport him back to Plano just yet.
Singh and his wife are originally from Pakistan.
