AMBULANCE INVOLVED IN CRASH

Sunday night, Cypress Creek EMS was transporting a patient when they were involved in a crash at the intersection of Spring Cypress and Champion Forest Drive. Two separate drivers were heading south on Champion Forest and were turning at a green light when the collision occurred, with the ambulance impacting both vehicles. Both drivers said they did not hear a siren or see lights, but one of the drivers did confirm that when the ambulance hit the ditch it’s lights were going. Another Cypress Creek unit responded to the scene to transport the patient from the first ambulance. Immediately after the crash there appeared to be smoke coming from under the hood. An extinguisher was used as a precaution, but no flames were ever seen.  There were no other injuries.
