Another outstanding job by the Splendora Police Department night shift!!!! K-9 Officer St. Romain conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. Upon making contact with the driver, who displayed a nervous behavior, Officer St. Romain had the driver step out of the vehicle. With the assistance of Officer Pierman, Officer St. Romain conducted a roadside interview. Both Officers were provided consensual search for the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, the following items were located;
1- FNX .45 caliber loaded pistol
12- Bottles of Promethazine with Codeine Cough Syrup equaling to 196 fluid oz or well over 400 grams.
1- baggy containing 226 grams of Xanax
1 bottle containing 14 grams of Loracet with Hydrocodone
Bruce Edward Powel, 25 of Marshall, Texas is charged with manufacture and delivery of controlled substance 4 to 400 grams, the second charge of manufacture delivery of 200 to 400 grams. His bond is set at $100,000.
