Several burglaries have taken place on Crockett Martin in the past week. On Tuesday morning another burglary on FM 2090 near Crockett Martin where a 50″ television and guns were stolen. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies patrolling the area of 12000 Crockett Martin spotted possible suspects and were able to recover at least one weapon. One male fled into the woods. It was discovered later that his mother came to retrieve him and take him to Madisonville. Madison County Sheriff’s Office was alerted and were able to take him into custody as they arrived in Madisonville. Deputies arrested Brittany Paige Koenig, 23, on the scene, for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Another burglary this morning of a weed eater on Crockett Martin near FM 2090. A short time ago deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, which has stepped up patrols, attempted to stop a suspicious male walking. He attempted to flee and was quickly apprehended after he attempted to take a deputies weapon. It was believed that he was on meth as he fought the deputy. It has not yet been determined if he was involved in any burglaries. Several residents in the area are also reporting suspicious activity. On Thursday morning just after 1 am Caney Creek Fire Department and the Sheriff’s Office responded to the 12000 block of Crockett Martin after reports of an explosion ad fire. They arrived and found active fire in the woods which was quickly extinguished.
