On Friday, 09/23/11, Officers of the Conroe Police Department conducted an undercover operation aimed at curbing prostitution in Conroe. The operation began at 10:00 am and continued until 9:00 pm. The operation consisted of both male and female undercover officers attempting to detect both prostitutes and people attempting to hire prostitutes. During the course of the operation, eight males were arrested and charged with prostitution after they approached undercover female officers and attempted to solicit sex for money. In addition, one suspect was also charged with possession of cocaine, and one was arrested on several outstanding warrants.
