At 6:34 Sunday evening Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were dispatched to a head-on crash on State Highway 156 just north of FM 945 in San Jacinto County. When they arrived at the scene they found a 2001 Saturn 4 door passenger car driven by Terry Thompson, 52, of Willis and a 2006 Dodge pickup driven by Fredrick Faulkner, of Coldspring.
At this point according to Trooper William Clark it is unclear what exactly happened. The Saturn which was southbound was struck head-on by the pickup which was northbound. The investigation is continuing to determine how he vehicle hit head-on. Ms. Terry Thompson of Willis was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
