PRESS RELEASE
On 12/10/08 at approximately 12:30 AM, three black males, at least one of which was armed with a handgun, entered the IHOP restaurant located at 25619 Interstate 45 N forcing the customers to place their heads and hands on the table. After taking money and personal property from the customers, the males forced one of the staff members into the kitchen area and demanded to speak to the Manager. The Manager identified herself and was ordered to open the safe.
After giving the males an undisclosed amount of money, the Manager was able to push the males out of the office, lock the door and call 911. The males fled the restaurant in a dark colored passenger car,which was described by witnesses as possibly being a BMW.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is currently investigating this robbery.
