MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- On Wednesday, at 1:05 a.m., Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business in the 9100 block of Hwy 242. The driver said he was meeting with a man named “TJ” to purchase a motorcycle. The driver also said “TJ” earlier attempted to sell him a side-by- side ATV that was stolen. The driver provided a location where “TJ” was supposedly picking up the motorcycle.
Deputies went to the location and saw a suspicious vehicle pulling a side-by-side ATV on a trailer that was blocking the roadway. The ATV was, in fact, reported stolen out of San Jacinto County. The driver of that vehicle, 45-year-old James Trawick, was then taken into custody for felony Theft.
Trawick was also found in possession of Methamphetamine and will be facing an additional charge of second-degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Trawick was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
