A female jogger in The Woodlands called 911 a little before 6 a.m. on Thursday, saying she was attacked while southbound on the northbound shoulder of Gosling Road.
She told responding Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office patrol units a white male stepped out from the bike trail and grabbed her by the right arm, then tried to pull her back into the woods and threatened her, saying he had a knife.
The victim grabbed a nearby tree, and her attacker fell backwards. He grabbed the victim’s hair pulling her hat off as he fell backwards. The victim ran away and called for help.
The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20’s, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 200 lbs. with short brown hair.
He was wearing white shorts and a black tank top and ran south along Gosling from the location of the attack.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene.
