New information:
DPS officials confirmed the driver of the vehicle that crashed into a house over the weekend was a 15-year-old, who lived either in Willis or Conroe. The boy was large, appeared older, and had an ID that stated he was 23. Because he is a juvenile, his identity was not released. The teen was hospitalized following the crash and charges are pending as of Monday evening.

Original report:
February 21, 2010
Here are the details at this time: Henry Stepp and his wife were sound asleep at 2 a.m. Their sons had stayed up late watching movies.
Without warning, an unknown male driving north at an excessive speed in the 12700 block of Rose Road near County Line Road in the Willis area lost control of his Dodge Magnum on the wet roads.
The Magnum left the roadway, jumped two culvert pipes, continued through a wooden fence, across a cow pasture, and through another fence. It barreled across the front yard of the Stepp family and crashed into their son’s bedroom.
The driver then tried to exit the vehicle but was detained until EMS arrived. His condition was serious but due to the low ceiling/fog and drizzle, no air medical service was available so he was transported by ground ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital, The Woodlands in serious condition.
DPS Troopers say his ID showed him being 23 but felt the ID may not have been his as the male advised he was 15. They are still attempting to obtain his true identity.
Henry Stepp’s youngest son would have been in that bedroom, in bed, with his head against the front wall.
Troopers say that the vehicle traveled over 1000 feet before hitting the 8-year-old home.
The only thing stopping it from going all the way in was the elevated slab. He struck the house , then his front tires struck the foundation bouncing him back.
A 16 foot fence board went through the front windshield, brushed his head and exited between his body and the back door. A child safety seat was also in the backseat, and fortunately was unoccupied.
On February 5, 2010 just 5 miles down the road, the passenger of another vehicle wasn’t as lucky as a fence board came through the passenger side of the windshield killing the passenger.
