auto theft ring broken in east of splendora

In the evening hours of April 19,  Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, Liberty County Constable’s (Pct.5 and Pct.6), Texas Department of Public Safety and the Montgomery County Constable, Pct. 4, all working together, located an Organized Criminal Activity on C.R. 3431E in the Plum Grove area of Liberty County. This is just east of the Montgomery County line.

Once again, by working together with the Community through tips received, Law Enforcement Officials were able locate two recently stolen trucks and numerous stolen auto parts, wheels and tires along with a copper melting operation at this location.

Four suspects were apprehended at the scene with a fifth person identified as a “Person of Interest” in the Investigation.  That fifth person turned himself into the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office this morning approximately 4a.n.The four which were apprehended are identified as:
