About 8 pm, a Union Pacific train was southbound going through the New Caney, Porter area with over 100 cars. As he approached Ford Road, a driver had stopped on the tracks waiting for the traffic light when the railroad signals activated. He attempted to back up, but the gate had already come down. The train attempted to slow but struck the front of the Honda. There were no injuries, but it took the train to just beyond East Wallace. Ford Road is closed and will be until at least 10 pm. Going southbound, cross at East Knox, cross the tracks, and turn immediately left on Kelly up to Hammond to Cunningham, then north to, then right on Clennie Needham to Ford Road.
