For the past 11 years, Baker Sign on FM 1485 in Conroe has hosted sign day. Booker T. Washington students, along with Caney Creek students, spent the day learning about the sign-making process. It opens opportunities for young students for possible employment after they graduate. They got to build signs, apply vinyl, see behind the scenes in design in sales, permitting, design as well as accounting. They got to compete in a design contest as well as build their own illuminated school logos that they also took with them to put up at the High Schools.
