Thursday, Detectives from the Major Crimes unit received a tip in regards to yesterday’s Bank Robberies that the person responsible was in an apartment off of Inverness Forest in Houston.
Detectives had earlier identified the suspect as Juan Contrell Parker , 27 prior to receiving the tip.
Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit, Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force and the Harris County Sheriff’s Department converged and successfully arrested Parker. Parker was also wanted in Harris County for a Bond Revocation involving a bank robbery and also wanted in Sulphur, Louisiana on a more recent Bank Robbery committed on April 2, 2012.
Detectives from Montgomery County Major Crimes Unit interviewed Parker who confessed to the attempted Bank Robbery in New Caney at the Chase Bank and the Bank Robbery in Porter at the 1st Bank and Trust yesterday afternoon.
Parker is suspected in connection with other bank robberies in Montgomery County since January 2012. Parker will be booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with 1 count of Attempted Robbery and 1 count of Robbery. The investigation is on-going.
