BANK ROBBERY ATTEMPT TO LOCATE

Just after 7 a.m.  this morning as an employee was walking into work at First Victoria Bank in New Waverly a unknown armed male approached her and forced her inside. That male  then robbed the bank leaving with an undetermined amount of money. According to witnesses the male was completely covered in black and was approximately 5’-7 to 6’ tall.

After robbing the bank he fled in the employees Toyota RAV 4 which was described as teal-blue/green. The license number is DJ8R192.

Anyone spotting this vehicle is asked to call the Walker County Sheriff’s Office at 936-435-8000.

Multiple units responded to the bank and were there in minutes as they had been a short distance down the street where an alarm had gone off and two burglars were arrested.

The two scenes and not believed to be related.
