NORTH MONTGOMERY COUNTY- The latest Montgomery County bank robbed was not in Conroe or The Woodlands like most, but in Willis.
The Willis Police Department stated around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, a gunman entered the Woodforest Bank located at 402 South Danville St. and demanded cash from a teller. Several people were in the bank at the time of the robbery, including tellers and customers, according to WPD Detective Sgt. Nelson. After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, he fled west on foot.
The bandit is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds. Nelson said the man was wearing a black cap, blue jeans and a gray long-sleeved shirt with the letters “RL” on it.
