A benefit will be hosted at the Needham Fire Department at 9430 SH 242 East on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 10a.m. to 3 p.m.
This benefit is to help the family of Firefighter Lt. John Hall. John’s 4-year-old nephew Garett was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor after he suffered a stroke last month. This type of a brain tumor is very aggressive and very rare. He is currently going through radiation to see if the tumor will respond by shrinking. His outcome may be a few months to two years to live. He is also on massive doses of steroids to help swelling. He began the chemotherapy but was not able to continue with it, due to some complications. The one thing this young man needs is his mother (Malissa Hall) and father (Chris Hall) to be able to stay with him, but there are financial complications.
Tickets for the event are $10 for adults, $5 for children 2-10 years of age and free for children under 2.
Activities include raffles, a dunking booth, train rides and a moonwalk.
Lt. Hall has responded to many calls all over the county both fire and medical. He has helped save many lives and saved thousands of dollars in property damage.
Please come out and show your support, enjoy the activities with your children.
