Just after 3 p.m. Montgomery County Deputies responded with MCHD and Needham Fire to a truck repair facility on SH 242 just west of the San Jacinto River Bridge. The caller stated a body was behind the shop in a pond of the adjoining property. Patrol Deputies confirmed in fact it was a body and notified detectives. Needham Fire assisted removing the body from the lake which was surrounded by steep banks. According to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Sgt. Haas the body appeared to have been there several days. They were not able to tell the race of the male. A Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney assisted in the investigation. Montgomery County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Connelly ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy and identification.
