On Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 6:17 am, a 911 call came in for a possible vehicle fire that was believed to be an accident on the 100 block of FM 2989. Once the Huntsville Fire Department arrived on scene and distinguished the fire, a body was discovered deceased in the vehicle, at which point, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division along with the Texas Rangers were contacted.
At this time it is not considered to be an accident but an intentional act. Walker County Sheriff’s Office has not been able to identify the victim who appears to be a White or Hispanic male, 5’10”- 6’1” feet tall, approximately between 20-30’s years of age.
Walker County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying the victim.
