The 82nd Legislative Session was very successful and I was proud to play a pivotal role in most of the key victories for Texas such as: being the most economically vibrant state in the nation, reducing taxes on small businesses, and streamlining state government to be more efficient and transparent.
My legislative accomplishments included new laws to: decrease welfare fraud, increase private property rights, enhance local economic development initiatives, improve mobility in the Montgomery County region, reduce frivolous lawsuits on small businesses, protect children from abuse, end wasteful government spending and to eliminate health care coverage mandates on Texas citizens.
I am proud of what we have accomplished in the Texas House over the last 5 years. We have cut general revenue spending for four consecutive years, reduced taxes, prioritized public education funding, strengthened private property rights, further secured our border and enacted voter ID laws, to name a few successes.
There is still much work to do in order to ensure our continued prosperity as a state, and I look forward to being a leader for the conservative voice in addressing those issues.
With your continued support I can continue this work in Austin to ensure Texas remains as one of the most successful economies of any state in the Union!
