BRASS THIEVES HIT WOODLANDS AGAIN

Several businesses were the victim of thieves again Wednesday night. On Tuesday thieves cut or broke brass back flow preventers out of several water lines of businesses including The Woodlands Fire Station Number 5 on Branch Crossing. In addition Arby’s Roast Beef on FM 2978 and FM 1488 was also a victim as was a day care center.

Wednesday night the scene was the same again, several back flow preventers were taken in the Shenandoah area and The Woodlands. Jiffy Lube in the 6700 block of Woodlands Parkway has a geyser shooting up from their broken water line.

In another area Ace Hardware, Learning Express and St. Luke’s Emergency Center lost all or most of their water supply due to the brass being removed also. In the parking lot behind Ace Hardware water flowed down the incline of the concrete driveway to the excess that the storm sewer was not handling the load.

Deputy’s combed the area in search of suspects.

Anyone who spots someone suspicious around these water lines are asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
