SUPSECT IN CUSTODY – Full story to be posted later

UPDATED 9:45 p.m.

The suspect multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for has been positively identified as someone who knocked on a door on CR 2340, near Hwy 321 in the Dayton area. The suspect allegedly fabricated a story about his car breaking down. He was wet, with multiple cuts and scrapes, and said he was cold. There was an apparent language barrier. The resident reportedly gave him a blue-green Carhart jacket and Gatorade and sent the suspect on his way.

The area is saturated with law enforcement, including tracking K-9 units. He’s described as a large-framed Hispanic man wearing a white shirt with blue vertical stripe and blue jeans, plus the blue-green Carhart jacket.

Don’t pick up anyone walking.

Liberty County Deputies and DPS are searching for a shooting suspect in the area of County Road 5740 in The Colony Ridge Addition.  Hispanic male, no other description fled to a drainage ditch. K-9 on the ground.
