JIMENEZ,LUISHERNANDEZConroe Police just completed a press conference on the search for a missing Conroe woman. On April 10, Martha Jimenez, 44 was reported missing by here children. Conroe Police investigated and after speaking with the husband, Luis Hernandez Jimenez, 54 determined she may have left on her own.

Shortly after Conroe Police who were still actively working the case developed new information and determined Luis Jimenez had given them a false statement. He was booked in the Montgomery County Jail on giving a false statement and held on a $50,000 bond.

Luis Jimenez, who is a heavy equipment operator at the landfill has access to the property at any time. Video did show a vehicle but police did not disclose if it was his.

The search started Monday. Conroe Police with the help of Texas Equisearch began searching the landfill. They credit the company for dumping trash in a different area of the landfill each day which has made the search easier.

Using heavy equipment and shovels they have dug almost fifteen feet deep in garbage. Dogs were used at first but were detecting so many targets that they decided to cease using them. Along with that is the danger to them with medical waste being found out there, carpet tacks already took its toll on one officer.
