11 p.m. WEST COUNTY– Two black males are in custody after robbing the Dollar General on FM 1774 near SH 149 at gunpoint.
The bandits successfully fled the store, but went to a nearby Exxon to change their clothes.
Ironically, as a result of their attempt to change their appearance and avoid detection, they drew attention to themselves thereby assisting in their own arrest.
A Montgomery County deputy captured one suspect and a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper captured the other.
