Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the area near the Lake Houston Park off Baptist Encampment shortly after 7:30 pm. It was reported a 15-year-old boy had disappeared into the woods and hadn’t been seen in almost four hours. It was also noted the boy had a medical condition and was on medication for a seizure disorder.
MCSO along with Precinct Four deputy Constables and Houston Police Helicopter and K-9 immediately started searching the area.
As of 4 am the boy, Michael Bradford of Village Drive which borders the park. has not been found and Montgomery County Search and Rescue Teams have also been dispatched to assist.
Lt. Conn with MCSO said the area encompassed several thousand acres and the San Jacinto River.
At approximately 9:30 am this morning the boy was found. He was safe with just a few scratches and insect bites. Medics with MCHD checked him on the scene and he went home with his mother.
