About 4:45pm Sunday North Montgomery County Fire Department was dispatched along with MCHD to the 10,000 block of Jennifer. It was reported a two year old child was struck by a vehicle. Units arrived on the scene and immediately called for Air Medical. But as medics worked on the child the condition worsened and the child was transported to the closest trauma center.
A short time ago the child was pronounced dead at Conroe Regional.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. Early on in the investigation it appears the child’s father was outside with several others and backed his Dodge 2500 in the large driveway. The child was not seen and was backed over.
Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Andrew James also responded to the scene and early indications are that it was just a tragic accident.
