6:15 p.m.
Today, January 10, around 4:10 PM, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office responded to White Oak Middle School at 24161 Briar Berry Lane in Porter. where they learned a stabbing occurred on school grounds. Behind the school, two 13-year-old males got into a verbal altercation that escalated when one of the teens stabbed the other in the abdomen.
The boys are distant family relatives. After the stabbing, the victim ran to his residence a block away from the school and told his mother what happened. She contacted the MCSO. Deputies searched the area and located the 13 year-old suspect at a nearby store.
The victim was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was placed under arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
