About 1130am Sunday Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported cock fight on Royal Coach Drive in New Caney. As units arrived at least 15 males fled the scene on foot in different directions. Deputies were able to capture 4 of them. They will be booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Another 9 were detained on the scene. They were cited for participating. The Houston SPCA was contacted and responded to the scene. Montgomery County Precinct 4 assisted in the investigation. Judge James Mett’s was contacted and signed a seizure warrant ordering the SPCA to seize 26 live birds and 1 dead bird.
