The seizure warrant has been signed by Judge Wayne Mack. In addition both the Herman Hoffman owner of Calico Dairy and his wife Kathleen Hoffman have been arrested on 2 counts each of animal cruelty. According to District Attorney Bret Ligon, the felony investigation is continuing and the possible additional charges of animal cruelty, tampering with evidence and destruction of evidence will be submitted to the Montgomery County Grand Jury, As both were being transported, the County Attorney J.D. Lambright presented them with the seizure order for all the horses.
They will now be transported to the Montgomery County Jail where they will be held on a $10,000 bond for each count.
