FM1485 at Firetower has just reopened after yet another accident. Approximately 7:55a.m. a Dodge Durango was northbound on FM1485 in the curve when for unknown reasons she slid off the road flipping multiple times coming to rest in the ditch against the gas plant fence. Three small children between the ages of 2 and 10 and their 54-year-old grandmother from Crosby Debra Earley were transported to Kingwood Hospital. All were in stable condition. Trooper Ryan Clendennen said that all were properly restrained in the vehicle reducing the injury factor.
This is the sixth accident in this curve since April 7.
It was the scene of the double fatal accident last Saturday morning just after midnight and another serious accident requiring Life Flight last Wednesday.
FM 1485 remained closed for over an hour as the investigation continued.
