About 930am Tuesday a Polk County Deputy was approaching a home in Holiday Lakes near Goodrich when a male open fired on him. Te deputies truck was hit several times, the deputy was not hit. He returned fire. A pursuit started which ended in the suspect crashing and being slightly injured. Polk County Deputies and Texas Rangers are investigating. The suspect was transported to the hospital with minor injuries from the crash. The deputy was also transported as precaution due to elevated blood pressure. Additional details as available.
