Less than an hour ago the La Michoacana grocery store was robbed at 1429 Spring Cypress just east of I-45. Harris County Sheriff’s Department converged on the area in search of two black males with a get away driver reported in a brown Impala or Camry. With several other robberies in Houston of the same store Harris County and Houston Police converged on the Acres Homes area. With Harris County Sheriff’s Department air support overhead and units on the ground a gray Toyota was spotted with suspects matching the descriptions. One black male with black hoodie and camo pants, another with camo hoodie and tan pants. A Harris County unit followed them until enough units were available, with the helicopter overhead they attempted to stop the vehicle which fled. A pursuit went down Gulf Bank just behind the Houston Police North Shepherd Station. They then bailed out. Three were captured immediately. The other suspect is still on the ground. The money stolen was recovered from one of the suspects.
