Business Hit Twice By Thieves

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the burglary and theft of vehicles, tools, guns and many assorted commercial items from the Standard Building Company located on CR 379 in north Liberty County. The first theft from this business occurred on March 18th when a white 2010 Ford F-150 pickup truck was stolen after a gate was cut open.

The second burglary and theft occurred on March 27th when gates were again cut open and another Ford F-350 2009 flatbed truck was stolen along with several guns, tools, an air compressor as well as the security cameras, computers and associated monitors. Also stolen was another Ford pickup truck, 2010 white in color F-150, 4 door with yellow decals on driver and passenger front doors.

Serial numbers of the guns and much of the stolen items along with the VIN numbers of the trucks were entered into the NCIC/TCIC  data base as stolen. Some evidence dropped by the burglary suspects were recovered at the scene and is being processed by the Sheriff’s Office.

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information on this burglary and theft case to contact their office at (936) 336-4500 or to call the Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-7867. All callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and a cash reward up to $1,000 can be offered for information leading to the arrest of the guilty person or persons responsible for these felony offenses.
