Thursday evening a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office unit spotted a motorcycle on I-69 traveling at a high rate of speed. He wasn’t able to immediately engage but a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable unit that was in the area spotted him getting onto SH 99 eastbound at over 100 miles per hour. He too attempted to stop him but the driver quickly exited at Lake Houston Wilderness Parkway and tried to ditch out on a small road near the exit. The deputy spotted where he was and additional units descended on him. The driver identified as Dalton Kensing, of Dayton was arrested and charged with evading with a motor vehicle. He told officers he was told that the police in Montgomery County do not chase motorcycles. That false tip he was given earned him a ride to the Montgomery County Jail where he is held on a $3000 bond. Kensing had no prior criminal history before this incident.
