Just after noon on Saturday the Caney Creek Fire Department responded to a reported gas leak in the Conroe Oilfields on Old Texaco Camp Road. When they arrived they were met by area residents who reported a tank on a trailer was leaking. After an inspection they determined a pop off valve was venting. The tank which was mounted on a trailer was not labeled and appeared to be connected to several large lines on Denbury property. Denbury was notified and responded to the scene. It was determined it was in fact their tank hooked to a salt water line used for gas and oil production. They were able to relieve the pressure and stop it from venting.
