Just after 7 am Friday a young lady was southbound on Millmac Road in Cut and Shoot. as she approached the bridge her vehicle hydroplaned. Her vehicle went through the guardrail and into the creek below landing on the passenger side. Passersby were able to free her through the windshield. She was taken to HCA Conroe in stable condition. The guardrail from the bridge went through the engine compartment and came close to punching through the floorboard into the passenger compartment. Similar to years ago on
I-69 when a young man hit the guardrail and it did go through. That young man lost his leg in that incident. Milstead Heavy Duty Wrecker arrived on the scene and after rigging the vehicle was able to bring it up onto the roadway. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Commissioners Office, who is responsible for the roadway was notified and will dispatch crews to the scene. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution as there is currently no railing on the bridge. Chief Hein with the Cut and Shoot Police Department investigated the crash.
