Ending up in the back of an ambulance can be scary at any age, but it can be especially frightening to children. That’s why the members of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Old Town Spring decided to provide the kids with a furry friend to take along for the ride.
Members, including the senior citizens group, bought new stuffed animals.
And in some cases made them by hand, like this one.
The animals were presented to Paramedic P.J. Silvas to distribute throughout the Cypress Creek EMS System.
P.J’s wife is a long time member of the church and the other members wanted to find a special way to say thank you for the service of Cypress Creek EMS. There’s also a special message on each stuffed animal for our young patients.
Visiting the beautiful little church on Border Street in Old Town Spring is something of a history lesson, including an historic marker including a who’s who of the names of Spring’s founding families.
