HARRIS COUNTY, TX- A three-vehicle collision on FM 1960 ended in an arrest Saturday evening after Deputies from Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the scene and identified the at-fault driver as intoxicated.
Deputies arrived at the 8000 block of FM 1960 to find multiple vehicles involved in a major crash. Francisco Martinez, the driver determined to be responsible, allegedly exhibited several signs of intoxication. Deputies conducted a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, confirming that Martinez was under the influence.
Further investigation revealed Martinez’s blood alcohol content measured 0.151 — nearly twice the legal limit. Authorities also discovered he had a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated.
Deputies arrested Martinez and transported him to the Harris County Jail. He faces a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. County Court 13 set his bond at $2,500.
“Francisco Martinez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $2,500.00 out of County Court 13,” Constable Mark Herman said.
