CHARGES AGAINST DOYAL, RILEY, AND DAVENPORT DISMISSED

This morning, County Judge Craig Doyal’s attorney filed a motion to dismiss charges stemming from June 28, 2016 misdemeanor charges for Conspiracy to Circumvent Chapter under the Texas Open Meetings Act. Visiting Judge Randy Clapp granted the motion.

All charges have been dropped against County Judge Craig Doyal, Precinct 2 Commissioner Charlie Riley, and political consultant Marc Davenport.

Special Prosecutor Christopher Downey plans to appeal the decision.
