CHARLIE KIRK TRIBUTE FRIDAY IN THE WOODLANDS

This Friday, September 19th, the Texas Youth Summit will gather at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott for a night of worship and to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk. Together, attendees will hear tributes from his friends Allie Beth Stuckey, Alex Clark, Senator Ted Cruz, and others, along with a message from our founder, Christian Collins, on how we can take up Charlie’s “bloody mic” and continue fighting the good fight. We are grateful to have Turning Point USA as an official sponsor of this event.

Please plan to arrive early to allow time for security screenings (metal detectors and bag checks). Doors open for VIPs at 2 PM, for General Admission at 3 PM, and the program begins promptly at 6 PM.

Of all the scriptures Charlie Kirk ever sent me, 1 Timothy 1:7 stands out: “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” He sent me this right after visiting a college campus where he faced extreme backlash for simply speaking a biological truth about gender—that there are just two—and for sharing the gospel with students who had never heard it. I noted in my response that he had been through the fire.

I must confess, when I received the news that Charlie Kirk was assassinated, with deep sorrow and concern for his family, my second feeling was… I didn’t want to do this anymore. Maybe I’d go find something else to do with my life, something without possible backlash. At first, I wanted to give up. But then I realized—that would be the very victory Charlie’s killers were after. That’s the very opposite of the Spirit God gives us. Another version of Charlie’s verse, 1 Timothy 1:7, says that God has not given us a Spirit of fear. In my case, that means reaching more youth and combating the radical Leftist indoctrination happening on college campuses—the same indoctrination that killed Charlie. That young people would know the truth—a biblical worldview—and that the truth would set them free!

Our nation is at war. It’s a cultural war, one that is not only political but deeply spiritual. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). The assassination of Charlie Kirk is not merely the killing of one man; it is an attack on the beliefs of Christians and Conservatives everywhere. Charlie is a modern-day Stephen in the Bible—the first Christian martyr who was stoned for boldly proclaiming his faith. And just as Stephen’s death did not silence the gospel but amplified it, Charlie’s death must not silence us, but ignite us. The verse he sent me burns within my soul.

I am praying not only for a seismic political awakening in our country—where the Radical Left ideology is exposed—but for a spiritual revival in America and across the world. I pray that people everywhere would do as Charlie wanted: join a local church and draw close to Jesus, the one thing Charlie believed could improve one’s life the most.

This is not a moment to shrink back. It’s a moment for every believer, every patriot, to rise up—unashamed, unafraid, unbowed—to carry forward Charlie’s fight for truth and for the gospel. We must all pick up his bloody mic, be crusaders for truth, and fight the good fight—until we too can say w
ith Paul: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).
